"This is a classic NZ cafe with the smell and seating of the 70s-90s, so you won't find the trendy crowd here. It is a really calming and non-overstimulating place to eat. Food was hot, fast, and well-portioned; prices were reasonable. They have some GF options also, which is nice to see. 8.9/10"

"Loved the service and the food. Loved the date scone and hot chocolate. Very well priced as I visited Gore first time and coming from Auckland everything feels reasonable here.Loved how each table had a different set of salt and pepper sets in ceramic."

"The coffee and cake were good, just overly sweet. Unfortunately the tables were not cleared all around the cafe, I guess they were understaffed. The service was fine and I liked the atmosphere."

"Typical Kiwi hospitality! I ordered seafood chowder and was served a nearly overflowing bowl of it. Only my mom would have done that, from memory:) The chowder tasted heavenly and we shall return to this lovely place again before we fly off to Perth, WA. Thank you for the kind service and keep doing what you do."
